MESSAGE FROM CHIEF SCIENTIST & ENGINEER, Professor Mary O’Kane AC
The Sydney Science Festival is back, bigger and better, with a bumper program of activities and events to inspire and excite us about all things science and engineering!
The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, Australian Museum and Inspiring Australia have teamed up in 2017 to bolster the Festival’s reach – supporting more than 150 family-friendly events right across Sydney.
Sydney Science Festival celebrates the achievements of our scientists and engineers and technologists, and the tremendous contribution they make to our everyday lives.
Coinciding with National Science Week, now in its 21st year, the Festival also showcases our great city’s scientific credentials and fosters important relationships between the community, our universities, research organisations and industry.
Most importantly, it seeks to foster a curiosity for and love of science in our kids; and by nurturing those skills we are future-proofing Australia’s workforce.
