Algae as a wonder of science.

Did you realize that single celled algae, or ‘pond scum’, can actually have wonderful applications in science? For example, it can be used to make anything from renewable fuels to anti-cancer products.

Join UTS PhD candidate Navpreet Kaur Walia as she outlines some of the possible uses and applications of algae for pharmaceuticals. Navpreet Kaur Walia’s  research project is at the Climate Change Cluster at UTS, looking at biotechnological uses for algae.

This free event is part of Inspiring Australia’s Talking Science library speaker series.
