As Australians we take clean air for granted. Snepo has been working with leading academics around the world on open source indoor air quality sensors. Indoor air can contain invisible pollutants that we can’t detect using our sense of smell.

Come to Snepo FabLab and learn how to make an indoor air quality sensor. We will utilise open source Arduino kits combined with the latest sensors for detecting Carbon Dioxide, Volatile Organic Compounds along with the more commonly understood properties of air like humidity and temperature.

The workshop will run for 3 hours and cover all the aspects of building a sensor, including:

  • electronic assembly
  • housing design and manufacture
  • Arduino programming
  • cloud dashboard setup

Thanks to our support from Zuper we have education kits available to purchase on the day with options to add the complex sensors like Carbon Dioxide or Volatile Organic Compounds.
