Harbour Cruise: Aboriginal Perspectives of Sydney Harbour

Presented by Australian National Maritime Museum

Understand Sydney Harbour like you never have before. Climb on board Tribal Warrior’s Mari Nawi (Big Canoe) to explore Sydney Harbour and Clark Island National Park.

During the cruise, the ship’s Aboriginal crew shares fascinating stories of traditional navigation, Sydney Harbour’s Gadigal, Guringai, Wangal, Gammeraigal and Wallumedegal people, plus explanations of their names for significant landmarks.

On Clark Island (Be-lang-le-wool), you’ll learn about traditional fishing methods and food gathering techniques, enjoy a vibrant Aboriginal cultural performance, hear stories of the stars and sky, and learn and practice traditional weaving techniques.
