Practical science comes to life with a specially designed program for primary and high school students.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6 to 8 August, Science in the City 2019 brings practical science to life with dedicated programming for primary school students. The specially designed program is packed with hands-on activities and explosive workshops, designed to support and link to school curriculums, covering a wide range of scientific fields including digital science, biology, chemistry, the natural environment, and more.

And on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 13 to 15 August, Science in the City provides dedicated programming for high school students, with STEAM-focused workshops, demonstrations, and exciting talks delivering immersive learning. The wide variety of sessions are designed and instructed by Australia’s leading science institutions, including 3M, ANSTO, Macquarie University and many others.

Presented in partnership with our sponsors 3M, ANSTO, Macquarie University, University of Technology Sydney and University of Sydney, this activity is part of the Science in the City celebrations for schools at the Australian Museum. Exciting discoveries and practical science are brought to life with a unique program of hands-on activities, talks and explosive workshops, with a wide coverage of scientific fields and school curriculum links.
