Why Do We Eat When We Are Full?

Presented by Woollahra Libraries
Talk

Do you like ice cream after your main meal, even when you are full? Why do we tend to keep eating food we enjoy despite our gut and brain telling us we are full?

Learn all about how your brain works with your stomach at this talk for adults by Dr Zhi Yi Ong, a research fellow at the UNSW School of Psychology who studies how the brain interacts with our gut.

Her research hopes to identify a brain target that will help us to control how much we eat and reduce our desire for sweet, fatty foods.

This event is part of Inspiring Australia’s Talking Science series as part of Sydney Science Festival in National Science Week.
